The Spectacle Maker NI - A Review & Closer Look At My Carolina Herrera Prescription

The Spectacle Maker NI - A Review & Closer Look At My Carolina Herrera Prescription

If you've never experienced love at first sight, then I highly recommend booking yourself in to the Spectacle Maker NI Boutique Opticians, situated in the heart of County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Because when I tell you that your perspective is about to become a whole lot clearer, it really is. In all seriousness though, when I spotted these Carolina Herrera specs from across the room, I really did experience a bit of a double take. You know the kind where you glance at something, look away and snap right around again - eureka, that's the one.

To give you a really quick breakdown, the Spectacle Maker NI opened their doors to the general public in April 2016 and are located in the Showgrounds Retail Park in Omagh - my hometown in Northern Ireland. They pride themselves on providing good old one on one customer service, as well as wall to wall prescription glasses from a range of designers (Carolina Herrera being one of them).

On Friday 2nd April, I attended my first appointment at the Spectacle Maker NI where I met Brian - the optician. We discussed briefly where my issues were, before proceeding with my eye test. I don't think I have ever experienced such a thorough appointment, from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I walked out. For a business that prides themselves on customer service, they personally knocked it out of the park for me. Brian was really informative about how the eyes worked, walking me through how naturally our eyes tend to look outwards and when we focus in on something (such as a computer screen), our eyes do everything they can to push themselves inwards so that we can see. I found this so fascinating and it's not something that I ever considered, especially as someone with a history of migraines. Brian recommends that when you're working on a desktop or on a mobile, that you look around every 20 minutes (even if it's just out the window, or glancing up for a glass of water), this will give your eyes a break.

Because of the nature of my business, I often find that I could be stuck on my laptop for hours on end, so Brian recommended that I opt for the Eyezen Lenses with this prescription. These are enhanced everyday lenses designed to reduce eyestrain. Essentially these lenses are much sharper than the ordinary prescription, so you can do all that you enjoy with the added benefit of visual comfort - and who doesn't love visual comfort.

Fast forward to today, Friday 9th April and I've just been in to collect my new prescription frames. Truthfully these photographs don't do them justice, but I am besotted with them. From the cat eye framing, to the blush pink accents - I can absolutely guarantee I'll be a customer of the Spectacle Maker NI for years to come.
